StumbleUpon
StumbleUpon provides an easy way to distract oneself by directing the user to a new tab with a new or interesting website. For example a website I found from this tool was an old flash video of a pug licking a window in such a way that looked as though the dog is licking the screen of the computer.

W3Schools HTML Tutorial
W3Schools has various web development tutorials that I have found to be extremely helpful in my search for helpful information regarding HTML and CSS. It provides several examples for good code as well as their own in-browser development environment. This allows users to have a faster learning process by allowing them to test and fiddle with code on their own. This is provided by the company that controls the specifications for HTML5.
StackOverflow

Stackoverflow is a forum website that on any given day, is used by thousands of developers to field questions about various programming topics. Users can post questions or answer them, and are rewarded when their answers are proven to be helpful, by being given special perks and flairs on the site. If one is particularly helpful, their status on the website is usually included on their resume.

Bad Websites

One of the worst websites I have ever had to use is the Phillips product registration system. It allows log-on for returning users, but does not include a user page where registered products can be managed. Any and all attempts to click on the user icon in the top right corner returns to the screen pictured with no change whatsoever. 

This website looks fine but functions extremely poorly.
